Mansharamani Releases Endorsements as NH-02 GOP Primary Picks Up Steam

Lincoln entrepreneur Vikram Mansharamani rolled out a slate of Republican endorsements as he entered New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District primary, and House Majority Leader Jason Osborne was among the names on the list, NH Journal reported. The campaign released the endorsements roughly a week after his entry, framing them as a sign that the bid was gaining traction among GOP officeholders and activists across the district.

According to NH Journal, the candidate cast the rollout as proof of broad support within the party.

“I am honored to have the support of these incredible leaders, and this list shows the broad support this campaign is attracting,” Mansharamani said in a statement.

He also tied the endorsements to the party’s prospects in the general election, urging Republicans to unify behind a single candidate ahead of the fall.

“Republicans need to be united if we are going to win in November, and I am committed to doing that.”

The report noted this was not Mansharamani’s first run for office in the state, and that a familiar name from a past primary was now in his corner, NH Journal added.

Mansharamani made his first foray into New Hampshire politics when he ran for U.S. Senate in 2022. The winner of that GOP primary, retired Gen. Don Bolduc, is among the Republicans endorsing Mansharamani’s bid.

Osborne appeared on the list alongside several other prominent New Hampshire Republicans.

Also on the list is 2014 U.S. Senate candidate and former ambassador Scott Brown, former House Deputy Speaker Pam Tucker, and current House Majority Leader Jason Osborne (R-Auburn).

Offering his own read on the contest, Osborne argued the candidate could bring the party’s factions together. As quoted by Jason Osborne:

Republicans of all factions are joining Vikram’s campaign. He is clearly the candidate who can unite the party and lead us to victory in the Second Congressional District,

The NH Journal report also noted that other candidates in the race were assembling support of their own, including from dozens of state legislators.

Lily Tang Williams, who received 25 percent of the vote in the 2022 GOP Second District primary, has been endorsed by 52 members of the New Hampshire House and Senate, including Sens. Kevin Avard (R-Nashua), Keith Murphy (R-Bedford) and Ruth Ward (R-Stoddard).
