At the release of the Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire legislative scorecard in Manchester, the group highlighted strong support for its agenda among GOP leaders, NH Journal reports. Several senators earned perfect scores while every Senate Democrat received a failing grade.
According to NH Journal, the scorecard tracks votes across a wide range of policy areas.
The scorecard tracks “the most important votes cast in priority issue areas that impact our society, such as taxes and spending, health care, educational opportunity, worker freedom, regulation, free speech, property rights, ending cronyism, and having a criminal justice system that focuses on rehabilitation,” according to AFP-NH Deputy State Director Sarah Scott.

Three senators topped the chart with perfect marks.
Three state senators — Tim McGough (R-Merrimack), Keith Murphy (R-Manchester), and Victoria Sullivan (R-Manchester) — all received a perfect 100 percent score.

The report notes that result is unusual for the upper chamber, NH Journal adds.
It’s notable, given that there have been many years when no members of the upper chamber achieved 100 percent.

AFP Regional Director Greg Moore framed the state as a national model.
“New Hampshire is and should be an outlier as a state with ‘Live Free or Die’ as our motto,” Moore told the crowd.

Moore said other states should look to New Hampshire’s example, NH Journal reports.
All the other 49 states should be looking up to New Hampshire and asking themselves, ‘How can we be more like that?’”

In the House, more than 20 percent of Republican members scored a perfect 100 percent, including Speaker Sherm Packard and Majority Leader Jason Osborne, NH Journal reports. Sen. Denise Ricciardi was the lowest-scoring Senate Republican, while progressive Sen. Debra Altschiller was the only Democrat to score a zero, illustrating the partisan spread the scorecard captured along with an internal GOP divide over housing and local control.
The scorecard release doubled as a snapshot of where the parties stand on AFP’s priorities, tracking votes across areas such as taxes and spending, health care, educational opportunity, regulation, and property rights, NH Journal reports. Three senators earned perfect scores while every Senate Democrat received a failing grade.

The scorecard release highlighted both the alignment between GOP leadership and AFP’s agenda and the gap between the parties, with no Senate Democrat earning a passing grade, NH Journal reports. Osborne thanked the group for its alliance, while Moore urged New Hampshire to keep setting an example of freedom for the rest of the country.
